Aquapura signs with FOC

Aquapura Hotel, Villas & Spa - Douro Valley, one of the most luxurious hotels in Portugal, has signed with The Fractional Ownership Consultancy. The award-winning 6 star hotel and spa has recently been selected by Tatler as one of their top 101 hotels and also received the Sherman Travel Smart Luxury award.

The resort has 21 villa residences in the grounds of an original 19th Century manor house overlooking the Douro Valley. 7 of the villas are authentic wine cellar conversions and the remainder are newly-built in ultra-contemporary style. These are now available through FOC on a quarter fractional freehold basis, which means that owners have use of their freehold home for 13 weeks of the year. Owners have full use of the facilities provided at the 50-room hotel, including the spa, gym, library, outdoor swimming pool and tennis court. In addition there is an 800 sqm business centre with five meeting rooms.

The resort lies between the river and the vineyards, in the heart of the UNESCO World Heritage site of the Douro Golden Region which has been producing wine for nearly two thousand years. The hotel incorporates a striking 19th Century Manor House, which was formerly home to the Vale Abrao farm, a renowned port wine producer.
